Tiny Dancer One of the coolest puppies we have ever had! It’s difficult to capture Tiny Dancer's incredible essence in photos because black animals are notoriously difficult to photograph and also it’s her energy and her personality that blow everybody away. She’s the perfect little puppy. We think she’s about three months old and she’s just 5 pounds so she will be small and her hair is the softest! If you put Tiny D on your lap, she’ll stay there as long as you want. She’s also happy to play with the other puppies or her toys. She’s already pretty good on a leash and we’ve not heard her bark! Apply now for the coolest puppy in the world. If you would like to adopt Tiny Dancer, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Luna Who would like a flawless little love-muffin? Luna is a 7 pound, 10-year old female, and you would never think she lived outside most of her life. But she and her partner Kiki (now adopted) did, and she still has nothing but love for everyone. We are looking for the finest of homes for this sweet girl. Luna had a hernia removed recently, and we will also took care of her diseased mouth. Still, after all of this previous neglect, she loves everyone and everything. We are considering Luna to be a special needs girl - she has substantial luxating patellas in her back legs and is not a candidate for long walks. She prefers to snuggle, go for rides in the car, and pretty much do whatever her humans are doing. She's an easy-going little dog with years of love to give and receive. No more being ignored outside in the cold and heat. Nope. Luna is a Trooper now. If you would like to adopt Luna, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Lorenzo This boy has been through it, but his body and spirit cannot be broken. Little Lorenzo is a 3 year old, 10 pound chihuahua, who miraculously survived a pitbull attack. Lorenzo was living alone on the streets of Porterville for over a year, and nobody took him in until he was basically almost ripped in half. Then, finally, somebody took him to a wonderful veterinarian who repaired him, not once but twice, out of the kindness of his heart. The whole clinic fell in love with Lorenzo. His flesh was so damaged that the first repair didn’t stick so they had to go in again with more staples and more stitches. Even his journey to Little Trooper Ranch was arduous. A wonderful generous pilot named Olaf offered to fly Lorenzo up for us. But while they were en route, huge storms rolled in and Olaf had to change course to find an airport where he could land while we were driving around trying to find them. Finally we were able to rendezvous, and everyone was safe. He was a bit shy and a little broken with so many staples which have now been removed. His beautiful brown hair is growing back and he’s starting to love life. His favorite thing is to run into the house at full speed after playing outside. It seems that the novelty of a warm house has not worn off just yet. He beams with joy every time. Lorenzo is a pleasure to have around; he likes to chase mice in the shed when we feed the farm animals, and he gets along well with the dogs and humans at little Trooper Ranch. He is ready to be your soulmate. If you would like to adopt Lorenzo, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Sea Monkey and Sea Biscuit Calling all dog whisperers! We gave Sea Monkey (the white one) and Sea Biscuit fun whimsical names to symbolize their new path to happiness. These poor little girls were locked outside and never touched for their entire 10/11 years of life. Despite the neglect, they are gentle and sweet but are incredibly shy. We can pet them and hold Sea Biscuit (the black one), but they tremble in fear. They need a quiet warm loving corner to decompress and learn to be loved. They will require patience and understanding. They will run to you when you come home; they love treat time, and while they're potty pad trained, they will potty outside as long as they have a doggy door or human person nearby to let them out. If you're looking for a rewarding challenge, an opportunity to teach love to deserving little souls, these little Sea creatures need you. We rescued them because they don't deserve to die simply due to their fear of the world. They didn't ask to live an isolated life. They deserve a chance, and they happen to be easy keepers. They are nice companions who are not needy. Although we would love to keep them together, we will adopt them out separately if it's their best chance at happiness. If you would like to adopt Sea Monkey and Sea Biscuit, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Pumpkin This senior gent is 4.5 pounds of adorable. Pumpkin is the easiest dog you’ll ever meet. He sleeps most of the time and although he requires eye drops, each day, he is otherwise nothing but a pleasure to have around. He loves snuggles but doesn’t love to be held or carried around. He likes car rides and strollers and he loves to be kissed, scratched and loved. We want the very best forever home for Pumpkin. If you would like to adopt Pumpkin, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Gus

Gus We believe Gus is a toy golden retriever, if there is such a creature. He’s precious beyond belief but he has some special "features", like not knowing where he is most of the time. He also barks when he doesn’t know where his human is. If you’re looking for a sweet soft elderly little dog to love, protect and snuggle, look no further. We’re not sure what happened to this innocent being but he was found on the streets near a homeless encampment with a terrible ear infection, rotting teeth, and layers of flea dirt, so we figure he’s had a rough life. Luckily we are here to clean and fix him up, and to make sure the rest of his days are filled with security and love. If you can provide this for an 8-pound senior toy golden retriever, apply now for Gus. He has so much love to give. If you would like to adopt Gus, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Snoopy He is around 4 months old, and 4 pounds of marshmallow-soft fluff and trouble. Snoopy is a puppy so he comes with the teeth, nails and energy of a puppy but it’s impossible not to fall madly in love with him. He’s got the puppy super power but he needs the puppy training and patience. If you’re up for it, for 15 or so years, he’s interviewing homes! We’re not sure how big dad was, but mom is an 8 pound version of Snoopy! If you would like to adopt Snoopy, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Coco Nbr2 - Adoption Pending This royal little girl is elegant, sweet and easy to love. She gets along well with humans and dogs; not sure about cats but she’s eager to please and eager to learn. This tall statuesque 6 pound angel is definitely part Egyptian princess. She could pass for a mini greyhound or a runway model but she only wants love and a forever home, worthy of a princess. Coco Nbr 2 is only 3 years old so you must be ready for a longterm commitment and a forever friend. If you would like to adopt Coco Nbr2, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Rumple He came to us via Fresno Humane where he was dropped off as a stray. Rumple must have been dumped, because he doesn’t roam or bolt, he’s very good to stay close to home and he’s eager to please. The shelter thinks he’s around 2 and he’s already neutered. We suspect he’s younger than 2 because of his puppy energy! He’s around 14 pounds and is almost housebroken. If he has an accident it’s on the pee pads. We can’t say enough great stuff about Rumple! If you would like to adopt Rumple, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .
