Pancake She is 3.8 pounds of fearless love. Pancake is brave, tough and loyal. Despite her teeny stature, she fears nothing and will follow her person anywhere. She’s incredibly dedicated and sometimes demanding. Pancake's little bark is like a chirp and she uses it to talk or to greet her people. She will have conversations with you, we promise this is true. Pancake came to us with a substantial hernia which didn’t seem to slow her down but we fixed it of course. She’s only 4-years-old and came as an owner surrender. She doesn’t seem to have trauma and she gets along well with all of the dogs at Little Trooper Ranch. She’s also great with goats and turkeys so we think she’d be fine with cats. Pancake is definitely a dog who prefers to be with her people all the time and absolutely loves to sleep in the human bed, under blankets. Since she’s so incredibly tiny, she will need a lot of extra consideration. She can fit through any fence or gate. She will escape anything in order to follow her person. This dog is teeny, so she can be taken by hawks or owls and has difficulty keeping herself warm, like all small animals. She bonded quickly to her foster mom so she will bond just a fast to her new person. Pancake is a very special little dog. Mikey This handsome guy is constantly smiling. Mikey is always up for a casual stroll with lots of time to sniff everything, and he’s eternally open to love. This super soft older gentleman is only 8 pounds so he never has to leave his human’s side, unless it’s nap time. We think he’s between 10-13 years and he has lots of life left to share with a lucky human. Mikey sleeps and dreams all night in his super cushy bed next to his foster mom’s bed. His depth perception is a bit compromised but otherwise he sees pretty well. His hearing is also pretty good. He will absolutely melt your heart when he looks into your eyes with his gorgeous smile. Mikey deserves a peaceful loving home to enjoy his retirement. Osa Before coming to us from the streets of Lake County, Osa was found desperate and alone, struggling to survive. We know she originally came from a shelter or rescue because she was tattooed and microchipped. Luckily some wonderful people took her in and cared for her until we had a spot available. Osa is around 12 pounds of personality. She’s gaining confidence every day and loves to play with the puppies and other dogs in the shelter. We guess her to be about 5 years old. She walks on a leash well and does great out in public with humans and other dogs. Osa sometimes jumps on the laps of our volunteers, and sometimes chooses to snub us all for the ball pit and the energetic puppies. She’s having fun with us, but we know she will thrive in her forever home. She’s a gorgeous little dog with a soft shiny spaniel coat and chocolate brown eyes. She loves to cuddle, play and go for walks. We can’t say enough great things about this brown eyed girl. Jolene The author of this bio has an affinity for this adorable puppy, so please pardon the gushing. Jolene can see your soul when she gazes into your eyes. The moment you pick her up, she gets floppy and gives you her belly. She loves humans, even though one of them left her and her sisters to die of dehydration or worse, in an abandoned orchard. It’s a miracle they were found. Jolene has a giant spirit in her tiny little 7-8 week old body. At just 3.5 pounds, we think she’ll be around 10 pounds full grown. Her coat is thick and soft with an extra poof on top of her head. Her cuteness goes on for days. Her heart is massive and she deserves the world. She deserves to connect deeply with her person for her entire life. Puppies require a high level of physical stamina on the part of the adopter for training, frequent housebreaking, managing intense energy levels, and yes, often, running after them. Additionally, because dogs under one year of age have a potential lifespan of 12 to 15+ years, we look closely at the long-term lifestyle match over the course of the puppy's lifetime. Hazel - Adoption Pending  Our sweet Hazel is back with us. Hazel originally came to us by way of the Rohnert Park shelter, where she wasn’t thriving. They did so much for her - including sending her to us - and she did gtreat in foster care. She was heavily matted so they shaved her hair off and we’re all very excited to see what she looks like when she’s fluffy! At the moment, she resembles a statuesque mini greyhound or a whippet. We estimate her to be about 3 years old and 8 pounds. She’s getting well house-trained and is in love with her foster mom. Hazel bonds quickly, despite her shy disposition. She was shutdown in the shelter but is now really coming out of her shell. She sticks by her foster mom when they visit and she’s an absolute angel. We've learned a little more about Hazel; for example, she's not fond of kids or crates. But she’s a very sweet, easy dog to have around, and will definitely be the love of someone’s life. That’s our goal for this very special little dog. She gets along well with other dogs but prefers the company of adult humans.

Rocket His personality suits his new name. We don’t know his former name, or anything about his former life, but we know Rocket's future is bright. He is the funniest little guy. If he really is 10 years old, it’s hard to tell. He has energy for days but is also happy to lie on the couch. He loves to sleep with his humans and seems to be house trained. Rocket did some marking when he first arrived (like most intact males) but it has subsided almost completely. Maybe he’s following the lead of his new dog friends, or his neuter has altered his ways. He gets along well with the other dogs and seems to love every human he meets. He howls when his human leaves but it doesn’t last long. Rocket has so much life to live and love to give. At just 6 pounds, he will make a great errand friend and can travel anywhere with his people. Star This sweetheart came to us with her brother, scared and under-socialized. We don’t know anything about their parents or past, but we know their futures are bright. Star is still nervous about being picked up quickly, but she loves to be held and snuggled, once you slowly and gently lift her. Star loves to play with toys and other dogs and she’s very comfortable in the presence of humans. We think she’ll be around 12 pounds full grown but this is just a guess. Star would benefit from one-on-one attention in her very own loving home.
