Ophelia - Adoption Pending! * * * No more applications, please! * * * Found on the streets without her puppies, it was clear that Ophelia had recently been nursing. This 8-year-old, 9 pound young mom was thin and sad but she perked up when she met the litter of pups already in our shelter. We were touched by how gentle she was with with them. Ophelia loves all humans, she’s fully housebroken, and she's ready for her forever home. She escaped a few times from her foster home but she was chasing after her foster mom. She’s a total love and currently living peacefully with a cat and a dog.. We think she’s kinda perfect. Malala If Malala and her littermates get their mama‘s personality, the world is in for a lot more love. Their mom, Greta, is the sweetest dog we’ve ever met - and we’ve met a lot! Mom is just 8 pounds and the pups are also on the tiny side. They are just 8.5 weeks as of this posting (born 1/23/26) and they’re still nursing. We know nothing about their father, but they have the best dog mom in the world, clearly. These pups came from a pretty sad and filthy hoarding situation so they have some skin issues which are clearing up, thanks to our wonderful veterinarian and proper care. There is a patch of missing hair that is growing back on Malala‘s little head. She is just a sweetheart. She’s much fluffier than her siblings and is sweet like her mom. Malala and her siblings will all be spayed and fully vaccinated prior to finalizing any adoption. Minion He is as sweet as he is gorgeous. Minion is a purebred with a sad story. Although he has never been mistreated in his 10 years, his life has been very small. Other than going to dog shows, he spent most of his life in a kitchen with a bunch of other dogs... and then one day his mom tragically died. He found his way to us luckily. We welcomed him and one of his friends with open arms. Minion is just under 6 pounds but his coat makes him look twice as big. He’ll need to learn how to go potty outside but he does use potty pads well. He chooses to hang out in a walk-in closet most of the day and doesn’t make a peep. He’s loving and receives affection willingly but he’s not used to doing much. OR.... he’s just a super chill guy who’s ready to enjoy retirement. We may cut his hair since his coat is incredibly thick and warm. He gets along well with other dogs and all humans, not sure about kids. Puzzles - Adoption Pending *** No more applications, please! *** This little gal is very much looking forward to her new life. Puzzles is blossoming in her foster home; she even barked once! Our understanding of her previous life is that she was never properly loved. She was bounced around a lot and ended up in a home where she was forced to live with toddlers, and eventually was sent to live in a garage all by herself in a pen. When we heard this, we knew we had to take Puzzles in immediately. The people were just as happy to see her leave for a better life. We’re grateful they brought her to us. Puzzles is the sweetest little dog. She would make a great travel companion since she’s just 6 pounds and three years old. She will thrive in an adult-only home, or a home with older kids but she’s a typical chihuahua. She’s protective of her people and she loves to sleep under the covers in her human’s bed. Parker - Available! We are so in love with this little 4 year old bundle of joy. Parker loves all humans and most dogs. He’s alpha so he does not like other alpha males. He’s only 8 pounds but he will do best with female dogs or older submissive males. Parker loves toys and the company of humans but he does not have separation anxiety. He seldom barks and loves to play fetch. He does tend to guard his toys and food but he corrects quickly and always aims to please. Parker is soft like a bunny and sweet like a muffin. He’s leash trained and housebroken. He did mark all over the shelter when he first arrived but this seems to have subsided drastically since his neuter. To meet Parker is to love him. Carrot It doesn’t get cuter than Carrot. This seven pound, 3-year old sweetheart has an abundance of affection and personality. He will keep you entertained and loved. He loves everyone he meets and the feeling is usually mutual, unless you’re a small unaltered male dog. Carrot seems to give off alpha vibes but he doesn’t mean to do so. Other male dogs are threatened by his charm and good looks so they come at him with their energy and he sticks up for himself but he doesn’t fight. He shows his teeth and they back off. Carrot would love a home with older neutered males or females. He’s too regal for juvenile nonsense. Why posture when you can cuddle? Carrot would prefer to go on exotic adventures to the feed store or the park or even just a good old fashioned Netflix and chill with his amazing new home. We just have to find this amazing new home for Carrot. He wanted us to mention that he is not vegan, despite the name. Given the choice, he would have named himself Bacon. Tilly After likely having been hit by a car, Tilly has endured a series of surgeries to fix her broken leg. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and she’s ready for her new home! Tilly is only one and a half years old and she’s barely 8 pounds but she can fill up a home with her spirit. She loves to hide her toys all over the property and take them to new locations when spotted by other dogs. She loves to play and run in the fields with the other dogs, go for walks and snuggle. She’s great with most dogs and if you’re looking for someone to keep you warm at night, Tilly is your girl. She’s so affectionate and bubbling over with personality. She can be a little guard dog but she’s also eager to please. Since she’s young, it would be nice for her to be in an active home where she can enjoy lots of adventures with her family.
