Parker - Available! We are so in love with this little 4 year old bundle of joy. Parker loves all humans and most dogs. He’s alpha so he does not like other alpha males. He’s only 8 pounds but he will do best with female dogs or older submissive males. Parker loves toys and the company of humans but he does not have separation anxiety. He seldom barks and loves to play fetch. He does tend to guard his toys and food but he corrects quickly and always aims to please. Parker is soft like a bunny and sweet like a muffin. He’s leash trained and housebroken. He did mark all over the shelter when he first arrived but this seems to have subsided drastically since his neuter. To meet Parker is to love him. If you would like to adopt Parker, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Carrot It doesn’t get cuter than Carrot. This seven pound, 3-year old sweetheart has an abundance of affection and personality. He will keep you entertained and loved. He loves everyone he meets and the feeling is usually mutual, unless you’re a small unaltered male dog. Carrot seems to give off alpha vibes but he doesn’t mean to do so. Other male dogs are threatened by his charm and good looks so they come at him with their energy and he sticks up for himself but he doesn’t fight. He shows his teeth and they back off. Carrot would love a home with older neutered males or females. He’s too regal for juvenile nonsense. Why posture when you can cuddle? Carrot would prefer to go on exotic adventures to the feed store or the park or even just a good old fashioned Netflix and chill with his amazing new home. We just have to find this amazing new home for Carrot. He wanted us to mention that he is not vegan, despite the name. Given the choice, he would have named himself Bacon. If you would like to adopt Carrot, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Tilly After likely having been hit by a car, Tilly has endured a series of surgeries to fix her broken leg. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and she’s ready for her new home! Tilly is only one and a half years old and she’s barely 8 pounds but she can fill up a home with her spirit. She loves to hide her toys all over the property and take them to new locations when spotted by other dogs. She loves to play and run in the fields with the other dogs, go for walks and snuggle. She’s great with most dogs and if you’re looking for someone to keep you warm at night, Tilly is your girl. She’s so affectionate and bubbling over with personality. She can be a little guard dog but she’s also eager to please. Since she’s young, it would be nice for her to be in an active home where she can enjoy lots of adventures with her family. She’s pure love. If you would like to adopt Tilly, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Blitzen Oh boy. Blitzen is appropriately named because he is a fireball of energy, love, enthusiasm and kisses. He can climb fences and will do just about anything to stay with his people at all times. You would never know he is 8 years young since he has the energy of a puppy. He’s barely 6 pounds so he can travel everywhere easily and will insist on doing so. Please apply if you’re lucky enough to be able to be with your dogs all the time. Blitzen will not do well at home alone all day and a dog as special as this one, deserves the entire world. He would do best with other female dogs or no dogs at all. His ideal human will center their entire existence around his every whim. If you would like to adopt Blitzen, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Pepé - Adoption Pending! *** No more applications, please! *** Prepare your heart. Pepé is the dreamiest little 4.5 pound sweetheart. He loves everyone and everything. It’s hard to believe he’s a senior gentleman; he loves to be in the middle of the action! We think Pepé is around 10-12 years old and he came to us as a stray from Porterville. We cannot even imagine this little guy alone on the streets but we can imagine him sleeping in your bed. Nothing but the best for this little trooper. Charming little guys like this don’t come around very often! Please note: Since posting Pepé for adoption, he has had an unexpected seizure. We have only seen this happen one time, and we will be getting a medical assessment shortly. Please feel free to email us with any questions about his condition. If you would like to adopt Pepé, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Kevin Our boy Kevin came to us with his BFF Tessa. They were living in a very sad situation by a river in a pen by a homeless encampment. They had very little exposure to humans and were terribly neglected. We think Kevin is around 4 years old and he is 12 pounds of personality. This little ham is learning how to live life to the fullest at LTR. He loves the other dogs, the horses, the goats, the fields, the toys, the house, the shelter, the barns and his foster mom. He basically loves everything. It’s as though he just realized life can be beautiful. It’s taking time for him to warm up to the other volunteers but he is a wonderful dog with lots of love to give. He sleeps at the foot of the bed and seems to be housebroken which is a miracle considering. He doesn’t stray and despite being terrified on arrival, he has never tried to bite. He warmed up to his foster mom in about two weeks and the bond is strong. He will bond quickly to his very lucky new home. Kevin is ready for adventure and love! If you would like to adopt Kevin, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Tessa Check out this most gorgeous little 7 pound girl. Tessa is super soft and will cuddle and receive kisses when held, but she’s still afraid to be picked up. She came to us with her BFF Kevin who was even more terrified upon arrival. He has since warmed up but Tessa will need some time and patience to heal from her terrifying life. Tessa and Kevin were found in a pen on the side of a river with a bunch of other sick and terrified dogs. She’s only a few years old but she’s been through a lot. Luckily she’s learning to love life. She plays well with other dogs and she loves puppies. It will take her some time to trust humans but she’s on her way and she’s well worth the wait. If you would like to adopt Tessa, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Bartholomew Our amazing Bartholomew came to us while he was at death’s door. He was painfully thin with severe dental disease. We could not touch his head, not even his ears, he was in so much pain. We’re not sure how old he is but we’d guess between 10-12 years (and about the same number of pounds). We neutered him and fixed his mouth. The infection was terrible but he recovered quickly and started to eat almost immediately! Now he’s a legit ranch dog! He comes out to feed the goats, horses and pig every morning and night, he plays, and then runs back to the house. Truth be told, he’s a bit arthritic and stiff so “play” and “run” are relative in this regard but he does the cutest gallop and sometimes his back end goes faster than his front end but he always manages to stay upright and he always knows where his foster mama is. Bartholomew loves to sleep in bed with his human and the other dogs, but he’s also content to sleep in a cozy bed on the floor. He can’t get up and down from the bed on his own so he will need his own “staff” for lifting, etc. Bartholomew’s transformation in our care has been nothing shy of spectacular. He is pure love inside and out. His coat went from sad and dull to shiny and vibrant. His personality has always been charming. If you’re looking for an older gentleman to brighten your days Bartholomew is your man. If you would like to adopt Bartholomew, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .
