"Yea! I have a new family!"
These dogs have found their forever home after having been rescued by Little Trooper Ranch.

Artemis - Adopted! It was love at first sight. We can’t think of a better mama for this puppy or a better puppy for this mama. Artemis has landed safely in the most loving and capable arms. Artemis never even hit our "Available Dogs" page - he went into foster and his foster mom was captivated.... and so was Artie (now Versace!). We were lucky to be part of Versace's voyage and we love him to the moon and back!

Petunia - Adopted! There’s something about Petunia. We’ve known her for just one month and we’ve seen her magic twice. She didn’t have much time left in her Central Valley shelter, so two kind strangers (to her) drove over 9 hours to free her and deliver her to safety at LTR . Once rescued, she charmed her way through multiple surgical procedures until she was all fixed up and ready to live. Her foster moms loved her, her LTR mama loved her and now her new parents love her. The second blast of magic came when her gorgeous little face found those parents. It’s the most magical home any dog could hope for and she found it on Petfinder. They drove for many hours to meet her and drove many hours again to whisk her away. Things were scary and rocky there for a minute but now she is home. We miss you Petunia! * * * Sweet little 7-pound Petunia is ready for the rest of her life. We found her at a shelter in Fresno where we believe she was picked up as a stray. She has the absolute best personality and loves to be loved. We think she’s housebroken and we’re not sure what happened to her right eye but she also has a scar on the top of her head. We think she's around 12 years young. She’s full of life and love for everyone she meets. Petunia loves dogs, puppies and humans. We’re certain she will be great with cats too. We simply cannot say enough great things about this adorable little nugget.

Blitzen - Adopted! Another adoption written by the stars. Blitzen is one of those 5-month residents we all grow to love so much - but Blitzen was extra . His D battery figure, his unique and spectacular coat, his bossy personality and obviously his sun-dried tongue. Blitzen entertained us with that D battery strut and persistent need to guard the food bowl. If his tongue wasn’t in your mouth, it was in the food bowl. He doubled in size at Trooperville. From famine to feast. Now he has a pontoon boat. We love you Blitzen! * * * Oh boy. Blitzen is appropriately named because he is a fireball of energy, love, enthusiasm and kisses. He can climb fences and will do just about anything to stay with his people at all times. You would never know he is 8 years young since he has the energy of a puppy. He’s barely 6 pounds so he can travel everywhere easily and will insist on doing so. Please apply if you’re lucky enough to be able to be with your dogs all the time. Blitzen will not do well at home alone all day and a dog as special as this one, deserves the entire world. He would do best with other female dogs or no dogs at all. His ideal human will center their entire existence around his every whim.

Butters - Adopted! Butters is off for his next adventure! We are so happy for this gorgeous little lion cub. His new mom is a Pom expert and a dog lover like us. It was an honor to be part of his journey home. He is where he belongs now. He is loved. * * * This is the most entertaining little teddy bear of a creature that you will ever meet. Butters is a young adult 5-pound Pomeranian who came from a backyard breeding situation, so he’s still getting accustomed to being handled by people. He loves people, though, and loves to play with other dogs. That being said, he should be the king of his castle (by that, we mean, we feel he would be best as the only dog in the home). He’s learning that life can be full of love, joy and adventure and that’s exactly what we want for him. Butters deserves the world. His personality is as sweet as his looks are stunning. Those “looks” include lion and teddy bear. We love him no matter the haircut. He will need some time and patience to come out of his shell, but he’s trying so hard and he follows us everywhere. He loves doing barnyard chores, he loves rides in the truck, and he loves to play with the puppies in the shelter. He wants to be the center of someone’s world, and we are here to find that for him. Click on the video to see Butters in action!

Scruffles - Adopted! It was not easy to part with this gorgeous little teddy bear but she deserves to be the center of attention in her very own home. She has her very own mama now!! We are so lucky to know you Scruffles! * * * This sweet girl came to us when her mom died. Scruffles lived in a kitchen for her entire life, as far as we know, with a bunch of other dogs. Although she’s fine with other dogs, she would be fine on her own as well. She can be bossy with other dogs, but she doesn’t seem to pick fights and we removed all of her teeth anyway because they were so rotten. This 6 pound little girl deserves the world. She deserves to be the center of somebody’s attention. We think she’s around 6 to 8 years old. As far as we can tell, she’s in great health and at least she will never need her teeth cleaned! She eats kibble just fine. Her favorite food is Fresh Pet and she lived with cats before, so we’re assuming she’s fine with cats. No kids since she’s so small.

Malala - Adopted! Another puppy flew the coop and we could not be happier for little Malala. She’s a special one for sure, we can’t wait for updates from her new papa. * * * They have so many years ahead with so many adventures. [Note: The first pictures of Malala are the most recent ones (5/12/26). As you can see, these puppies are growing up, and we are happy to report that their skin and fur are looking great!] If Malala and her littermates get their mama‘s personality, the world is in for a lot more love. Their mom, Greta, is the sweetest dog we’ve ever met - and we’ve met a lot! Mom is just 8 pounds and the pups are also on the tiny side. They are just 8.5 weeks as of this posting (born 1/23/26) and they’re still nursing. We know nothing about their father, but they have the best dog mom in the world, clearly. These pups came from a pretty sad and filthy hoarding situation so they have some skin issues which are clearing up, thanks to our wonderful veterinarian and proper care. There is a patch of missing hair that is growing back on Malala‘s little head. She is just a sweetheart. She’s much fluffier than her siblings and is sweet like her mom. Malala and her siblings will all be spayed and fully vaccinated prior to finalizing any adoption.

Freya - Adopted! Life certainly took a turn for the better for this deserving little puppy. She went from being abandoned in a park, like trash, to being treasured by so many. Her newest fan club is taking her home where she can begin her beautiful new life with her new family. We love you little Freya! * * * She was abandoned in a park (in Stockton), on a towel and there she stayed until someone took her home. Although she was safe from the dangers of a public park, she was still sleeping outside and needed immediate rescue. We were contacted and we said yes, right away. Some wonderful humans drove her over to us and we were blown away by how sweet she is. Freya may be the sweetest puppy we’ve ever had, and that’s saying a lot. She’s only nine weeks and barely 4 pounds. We know nothing about Freya's parents, but we know she’s got the most precious disposition. She’s playful, but she’s not your typical crazy puppy. She gets along great with all dogs, puppies and humans. I’m sure she could live quite happily with cats because she’s young enough to get to know them. We love Freya and you will too.

Minion - Adopted! Yay for Minion!!! We are so thrilled for this adorable little senior. Better late than never as they say. Today marks the beginning of the best adventures of his life. His new mom came prepared to whisk him away for his fun forever. He sat cramped in a kitchen with a bunch of other dogs for 10 years but no more. Those days are over because he’s a trooper now and he has a wonderful new family. We love you Minion! * * * He is as sweet as he is gorgeous. Minion is a purebred with a sad story. Although he has never been mistreated in his 10 years, his life has been very small. Other than going to dog shows, he spent most of his life in a kitchen with a bunch of other dogs... and then one day his mom tragically died. He found his way to us luckily. We welcomed him and one of his friends with open arms. Minion is just under 6 pounds but his coat makes him look twice as big. He’ll need to learn how to go potty outside but he does use potty pads well. He chooses to hang out in a walk-in closet most of the day and doesn’t make a peep. He’s loving and receives affection willingly but he’s not used to doing much. OR.... he’s just a super chill guy who’s ready to enjoy retirement. We may cut his hair since his coat is incredibly thick and warm. He gets along well with other dogs and all humans, not sure about kids.

Kevin - Adopted! Dreams come true and miracles happen. Almost 11 months ago to the day, these wonderful dogs arrived trembling with fear and confusion. They had never known love, safety or comfort. We were the lucky ones to start their journey toward happiness and peace. We made huge strides but the best is yet to come for this bonded pair, Kevin and Tessa. Homes like this don’t come along often for nervous bonded pairs and we could not have asked for a more perfect situation for these little troopers. They will continue to enjoy ranch life on a gorgeous expansive property with the sweetest humans. It’s a trooper miracle we will be talking about for years. We love you Kevin and Tessa. We can’t wait to see you blossom in your magical new home. * * * Our boy Kevin came to us with his BFF Tessa. They were living in a very sad situation by a river in a pen by a homeless encampment. They had very little exposure to humans and were terribly neglected. We think Kevin is around 4 years old and he is 12 pounds of personality. This little ham is learning how to live life to the fullest at LTR. He loves the other dogs, the horses, the goats, the fields, the toys, the house, the shelter, the barns and his foster mom. He basically loves everything. It’s as though he just realized life can be beautiful. It’s taking time for him to warm up to the other volunteers but he is a wonderful dog with lots of love to give. He sleeps at the foot of the bed and seems to be housebroken which is a miracle considering. He doesn’t stray and despite being terrified on arrival, he has never tried to bite. He warmed up to his foster mom in about two weeks and the bond is strong. He will bond quickly to his very lucky new home. Kevin is ready for adventure and love!

Tessa is super soft and will cuddle and receive kisses when held, but she’s still afraid to be picked up. She came to us with her BFF Kevin who was even more terrified upon arrival. He has since warmed up but Tessa will need some time and patience to heal from her terrifying life. Tessa and Kevin were found in a pen on the side of a river with a bunch of other sick and terrified dogs. She’s only a few years old but she’s been through a lot. Luckily she’s learning to love life. She plays well with other dogs and she loves puppies. It will take her some time to trust humans but she’s on her way and she’s well worth the wait.
