Coco Nbr2 - Adopted! This royal little girl is elegant, sweet and easy to love. She gets along well with humans and dogs; not sure about cats but she’s eager to please and eager to learn. This tall statuesque 6 pound angel is definitely part Egyptian princess. She could pass for a mini greyhound or a runway model but she only wants love and a forever home, worthy of a princess. Coco Nbr 2 is only 3 years old so you must be ready for a longterm commitment and a forever friend.

Sugar - Adopted! Sugar has a new dad and a big extended family! She will be the center of their world, as it should be! We miss her already but we are thrilled for this bundle of joy. * * * You would never know Sugar had a rough start in life. She is the happiest dog, with energy for days. At just 8-months old and barely 5 pounds, she ended up at the Martinez shelter where they did surgery to remove stones from her bladder. They also spayed and vaccinated her so she is ready for her forever home and we will know more about the types of stones that were in her bladder soon. Sugar loves everybody; all humans and all dogs (as far as we can tell). She has a ton of energy and loves to play but she can also entertain herself for hours with toys. Sugar's name is perfect because she’s so very sweet. We think she’s probably a purebred Pom, so she will be very small when she’s full-grown.

Marigold / Puddles Marigold’s adorable little paws barely touched ground here at LTR, when she was swept up by our very own board VP. Marigold, (now Puddles), arrived the day before our volunteer appreciation party. She flew in and 24 hours later, she was in her forever home. We’re so happy this unique little dog is staying in the family! We all love you Puddles!

Ollie - Adopted! What a difference a couple of weeks makes. Thanks to the Madera shelter and a wonderful veterinarian, Ollie had a chance. He survived unthinkable cruelty and pain but his future is so bright we can hardly think of the past. Ollie is over it, he’s moving on and he’s about to have the life he deserves. He fell in love with his new humans instantly and the feeling was mutual.

Conway Twitty - Adopted! Conway’s journey has definitely been rough and his little nerves were frayed when he arrived at LTR. His teeth were chattering he was so terrified but he mustered the courage to trust and less than two weeks later he scores a dream home. The best part is that he chose them. * * * This handsome boy came to us from the Martinez shelter where he was picked up as a stray. He was incredibly terrified so he was a bit nippy while being captured. Now however, he is the sweetest little guy! Conway Twitty is only 5 years old and 8 pounds but he does need to gain a little weight. He loves other small dogs and he also loves our volunteers. He’s super playful and food motivated. When we carried him down to the shelter in the crate, we could hear his teeth chattering from his trembling jaw. He must have lived in fear for quite some time but those days are over for this stunning little chap. Conway is overflowing with personality and facial expressions!

Faith Hill - Adopted! Another match made! Faith was appropriately named because things were not looking good for this adorable little dog but she never gave up and her beautiful spirit was never damaged by this world, even when she found herself in dangers way in a cold scary shelter. She is in a warm loving home now and she will never be alone again. * * * We can’t imagine how this tiny 4.5 pound, 12 year old girl ended up as a stray but she somehow survived the cold dangerous streets before being picked up by animal control. Now she’s looking for a warm cozy forever home to call her own. Faith gets along well with other dogs and loves a warm cozy bed. She’s also food motivated and sweet as can be, to everyone.

Puffin - Adopted! Puffin’s story is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. (But wonderful from here on out) We don’t know what circumstances led to his neglect, we seldom know. We do know that it didn’t even dampen his expansive spirit. His blindness doesn’t slow him down one bit and he has nothing but love for absolutely everyone. We’ll tell you more about Puffin this soon (check social media) but he is in the most loving home imaginable. It couldn’t have happened to a more deserving angel.

Luna Bijon - Adopted! Sometimes it takes a while for these little souls to find their safe place in the world. We think Luna found her forever home today. She will have two loving humans and a K9 sister to love her and keep her company for the rest of her days. * * * This precious 10-ish-year-old girl is coming back to us after 6 months, so we are looking for a serious, committed home. She loves all humans, loves car rides, and she greets other dogs with a wagging tail. Along with having only two teeth (after we did an extensive dental to remove her lifetime of neglect), Luna has zero aggression towards anyone. She even cohabitates well with a cat! She sleeps well in an open crate, she hardly barks, and is very calm and well-behaved in the car. Perhaps because of her age, she has a little bit of separation anxiety. We don't know how many homes she's had; this could also be a factor. We are searching for a person who can be with her most of the time during her senior years. She deserves to feel safe, secure, loved, and treasured, especially at this point in her little life. Luna is 15 pounds of loving devotion. She's also food-motivated, which is a great thing in our world. This means she'll be easy to medicate and train. She's 95% housebroken when her humans are paying attention to her needs. Finally, we must be shallow for a moment because she is a stunning little creature. She can be groomed to look like a pom pom or left shaggy to look like a muppet. Either way, she's gorgeous and worthy of your love.

Ernie - Adopted! Ernie has a home of his own!!!! We are over the moon for this deserving little man. It took a while. Feels like we climbed a mountain and crossed an ocean to arrive in this happy place but we made it and Ernie has the wonderful home he deserves. Mission accomplished! * * * He is Ivy League. He is Olympic gold. Ernie might actually be Banksy. Ernie is Gavin Newsom level gorgeous. Ernie is John Lennon and Jane Goodall. Ernie is carbon fiber. Ernie is apple pie. 🥰 Ernie is barely an adult but he’s full grown and is 12 pounds. Hopefully we’ve conveyed how amazing he is. He’s super intelligent and eager to learn. He’ll need some basic training but it won’t take long with this gorgeous little guy! If you would like to adopt Ernie, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Charlie Bear - Adopted! Yay for Charlie Bear! He’s the first of his litter to leave the building and the coolest part of the story is that he will be cousins with recently adopted Marley! They were friends at LTR and now they are family, forever. Another happy day in dog rescue. * * * How do we even begin to describe this wee bundle of low-riding fluff? He has to be seen to be believed. His mama was 30 pounds but we don’t know anything about the dad. Charlie was among the 4 smaller pups in the littler so we expect he will be smaller than his mom. He’s 5 pounds at 8 weeks. He carries his chubby self around on the stubbiest little legs, it’s so adorable. Charlie Bear is a low rider with a penchant for digging holes to sleep inside. He plays half as much as his sisters. They keep busy exploring and running while he sleeps in the dirt. He’s more of a spectator than a player but he is a puppy so he definitely likes to play... but he’s mostly just a teddy bear. He’s truly amazing and stunning.
