Kiki - Adopted! Kiki is off on his new solo adventure in life. Although he and Luna have been together all their lives, our main focus is placing them in exceptional forever-homes as quickly as possible. These guys were ignored and neglected entirely their whole lives. It's time for them to be spoiled and treated to all the great things life has to offer and that is exactly what we found for Kiki. Luna is next, but in the meantime, she is being lavished with love, attention, great nutrition, and fun adventures with her wonderful foster moms. We are so happy for Kiki!"

Cinnamon - Adopted! Mission accomplished! We found her broken and in excruciating pain. She had stones in her bladder the size of a golf ball and she’s only 6 pounds. We did the surgery to remove them and managed her recovery and the miracle continued when her new mom came to meet her! Now they are off together on their journey as a duo. Nothing makes us happier, especially for precious little Cinnamon! * * * After being picked up by Animal Control as a stray in Farmersville, Cinnamon made her way to us, and we're ready to find her forever home. We think she’s around eight years old and seems to have been relatively well cared for, although she definitely spent some time on the streets and absolutely needs love. She kinda looks like a little red coyote with long lean legs and a puffy little coat. Cinnamon was spayed by someone at some point before coming to us. She’s housebroken and has so much love to give! At only 6 pounds, she can travel with her people. She gets along well with other dogs and seems to enjoy getting a bath! We love Cinnamon so much and you will too!

Banshee - Adopted! Banshee was with us for 6 months! She has been a surrogate mother to so many litters of puppies, a best friend to many of the permanent trooper residents, and a joy for the humans. We sure will miss her but she deserves her very own home. She will be their primary focus, they will love her and she will finally have a real family. We’re so happy for you Banshee! * * * Little Miss Misunderstood had good reason to fear the world. She was suffering terribly with 4 foxtails in one ear, which, judging by the infection had been there, painfully, for quite some time, . Dropped at the Martinez shelter, Banshee was beyond terrified and kinda tried to kill the lovely shelter staff. But we saw some potential, and after just 12 hours at Little Trooper Ranch, she was jumping on laps and gifting everyone with kisses (along with some stinky ear infection goop - yuck). We quickly got her to the vet where they removed the foxtails and treated the infection. Now, this playful 6-pound young girl is as happy as can be. She loves all humans and all dogs as far as we can tell. She’s a young adult and she’s looking for love! Banshee promises always to give more love than she receives, like all perfect little dogs.

Lemming - Adopted! Here’s a little more happy news for the world. Today an adorable little (human) boy will come home from football practice to a new puppy! He’s been here twice with his parents but he doesn’t know that his mom took Lemming home today. We love this home for Lemming, we can’t wait for updates and we love it when rescue happens this way. Rescue dogs are perfect in every way. They are pure love and they all deserve homes like this. * * * This precious little four pound nugget has got the coolest look and the most chill personality. Lemming and his fuzzy littermates are around 3 months old and they’re all around 4 pounds. They have the coolest hair, it’s kinda thick and curly in spots and their tails have twisted hair all the way to the end, like a spiral. They’re absolutely gorgeous puppies so their parents were likely stunning but we don’t know anything about them. We joke that they may be toy Rottweilers (it’s not a thing) because that’s the best way to describe them! They’re entering the real puppy stage filled with teeth and scratches but they’re worth the blood! .

Hercules - Adopted! Herc has a home!!! He will be the center of the universe in his new life. Hercules was found alone on the streets at just 3 pounds. He will never have to struggle to stay warm, he will always have food, he will always be loved and best of all, his new home is forever. We love you Hercules! * * * He lives up to his name. Hercules is 3.5 pounds of power, fury and love. It takes him a minute to trust new people but he’s 3.5 pounds; everyone and everything is a giant. Can you imagine being so small? His attitude compensates for his size and he’s only around 3 years old so he can be your best friend for many many years! Hercules is underweight, so we’re making sure he gets lots of great food and we’re teaching him that there are gentle giants who will keep him safe and warm. His favorite spot is a furry electric blanket and his favorite food is Fresh Pet. We removed some rotting teeth and neutered him so he is ready to go! Poptart - Adopted! Poptart is home!!!! Her new parents walked in the door and she immediately claimed them. It was over in about 30 seconds. Her new dad sat down and Poptart was instantly smitten. She was equally enamored with her new mom. It was a privilege to witness this adorable connection. We definitely are not in control. This was destiny and we are over the moon for Poptart. * * * This amazing little girl was tied to a pole at night in a church parking lot, severely dehydrated and starved. If that wasn’t enough, she was full of roundworms... but Poptart is not just a lover, she’s a fighter, and she has overcome all that adversity. Her coat is a stunning mix of plush brindle and charcoal, heavy on the coal. Her ears are amazing, small, pointy and intimidating when she wears them straight up. Poptart went from 5 pounds to 10 pounds in 1.5 weeks. We think she’s mostly schipperke but it’s hard to say how big she’ll get. (She can bench 100 pounds.) Her coat is thick but not long, and it doesn’t seem like she’s a shedder. We think she’s around 4.5 months old. She’s very affectionate and snuggly, and she currently looks like a bear cub mixed with a pot bellied piglet. To meet her is to love her. Disclaimer: She’s in the “must chew everything” phase. If you would like to adopt Poptart, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Yoda - Adopted! We could have adopted this stunning little guy out 1000 times. His ears, markings, humble demeanor, and kind heart make him pretty much perfect. Yoda was very shy when he first arrived but blossomed as soon as he went home with his friend Werewolf. They are loved beyond compare and they keep their human parents enthralled with their antics and affection. We are so happy for Yoda!

Wolverine - Adopted! Some unions are mapped in the stars. We’re lucky to be part of their journey to find each other! Wolverine is a special little girl and her mom is every bit as special. We know they will take great care of each other and we are over the moon for Wolverine! * * * This is an incredibly unique and precious little being. She has the same "mystery condition" as her cousin Werewolf. They came from a hoarding situation with 57 dogs but they are sweet as can be since they arrived as puppies. Wolverine has a recessed vulva which means she may be susceptible to UTI’s and or skin infections but otherwise she is a happy puppy. She’s very vocal and has energy for days but her sweetest feature is her prance. It’s very dramatic and fun to witness. Her hair is kinda sparse but it works with her beautiful skin and transparent ears. We’re not sure how big she’ll get but she’s currently still 2.5 pounds at just under 4 months so she will likely be tiny. For what it’s worth, she is the favorite puppy (by far), of the author of this bio. 🥰

Frank - Adopted!! Frank finally has a warm home in the mountains where he will always be loved and cared for! It was an honor to be part of this little man’s journey. We love you Frank. * * * If you’re looking for a gorgeous, perfect senior friend, look no further. This 5 pound stunning fluffy little creature is just about as perfect as they come. Frank has not had a great life. He spent most of his 14 years ignored on a deck. He deserves to be treasured, loved and adored for the rest of his days. We are looking for an exemplary home for this little man to try to make up for the years he lost all alone. Frank is great with other dogs and seems to be great with all humans, but adults are best since he is senior and a little bit fragile. Frank is very low maintenance and loves to sleep in bed with his humans but is also fine sleeping in a very fluffy warm bed on the floor next to his human’s bed. We want nothing less than this for him. He loves car rides, he loves adventure, he would love to go everywhere with you.

Liger - Adopted! Liger is off to his wonderful new home! He has two exceptional young girls waiting to love and grow alongside this precious little puppy. We could not be happier for Liger! * * * He is the most sensitive pup in his litter. Liger is a lover, and he's anxious to please and learn. He’s also a bit shy but loves to sit on your lap and snuggle. This fuzzy bunch from the same litter is around 3 months old and they’re all around 4 pounds. They have the coolest hair; it’s kinda thick and curly in spots, and their tails have twisted hair all the way to the end, like a spiral. They’re absolutely gorgeous puppies so their parents were likely stunning, but we don’t know anything about them. They’re entering the real puppy stage filled with teeth and scratches but they’re well worth a drop or two blood!
