Luna Bichon - Adopted!! Luna has finally found her dream home. We’re not exactly sure what life was like for this girl before we met her, but we know she wasn’t properly cared for and that she spent a lot of time caged. Her teeth were worn down, broken and rotting, she had infections, and her coat was a mess but those days are over. It took a village of volunteers, pilots, drivers, veterinarians, a dental expert, groomers, fosters and fellow troopers but we did it again! We removed her rotting teeth and gave her all the medical attention needed, plus a grooming donated by Wine country Grooming. Now she spends her days gardening and cuddling with her lovely new parents. Her mom is her world; she follows and protects her everywhere she goes. We are so happy for this new little family, and especially, for Luna.

Marvin/Melvin - Adopted! In case you’re wondering why he has two first names it’s because some of us shouldn’t read intake papers without our reading glasses so we thought it was Melvin but really it was Marvin so we turned it into Marvin Melvin. None of it really matters because his new name is Ru, short for Kangaroo. We’re so happy for this little guy. He gets to go live with a trooper from almost four years ago and his amazing human mama. We are so thrilled and can’t wait to see Ru and his new brother together. They can compare notes about their experiences at Little Trooper Ranch. We sure do hope they were wonderful and we wish them the greatest lives ever. * * * He's here waiting patiently for you. Marvin is full of speckles and beans. This little freckled wonder is only 6 pounds, at around 4 months and was found all alone in a crowded scary shelter. We brought him in to join our other puppies so he’s getting the love and socialization he needs at this age. He loves all humans and dogs so he will love you too!

Cinder & Leon - Adopted! Cinderella and Leopard are now Cinder and Léon of the Pacific Northwest. Things were not looking good for these adorable little puppies, but then dog rescue lifted them from a sad life of suffering to a wonderful life of comfort and love. This is a nod to all of our partners, known and unknown, in the rescue world. It's difficult work, to put it mildly, but it's so worth it. Cinder and Léon are "living" proof that our work is important and their lives are important. They have the best mama who loves them endlessly, and they love her back, and we love them all. This is why we are here: For the sake of love.

Rumple - Adopted! Rumple has found his forever home with his amazing foster family. It was a long road with this little man from Fresno Humane. We know for sure that Rumple is made of all things beautiful and he deserves the world. All dogs deserve the world. Rumple’s new parents are exemplary in every way. They have taught Rumple so much and they love him endlessly. He loves his humans deeply and would do anything to protect them. This is one more tiny (huge!) win at Little Trooper Ranch. * * * He came to us via Fresno Humane where he was dropped off as a stray. Rumple must have been dumped, because he doesn’t roam or bolt, he’s very good to stay close to home and he’s eager to please. The shelter thinks he’s around 2 and he’s already neutered. We suspect he’s younger than 2 because of his puppy energy! He’s around 14 pounds and is almost housebroken. If he has an accident it’s on the pee pads. We can’t say enough great stuff about Rumple! If you would like to adopt Rumple, please first review our " Before You Adopt " page and then complete the Adoption Application which can be found here .

Tiny Dancer - Adopted! Tiny Dancer has left the building for her new life with her new family. She even has a big sister who looks a lot like her and will teach her how to live her best life with her new humans. We sure will miss this perfect little puppy but we know this is the best possible match. She will be loved beyond measure. * * * One of the coolest puppies we have ever had! It’s difficult to capture Tiny Dancer's incredible essence in photos because black animals are notoriously difficult to photograph and also it’s her energy and her personality that blow everybody away. She’s the perfect little puppy. We think she’s about three months old and she’s just 5 pounds so she will be small and her hair is the softest! If you put Tiny D on your lap, she’ll stay there as long as you want. She’s also happy to play with the other puppies or her toys. She’s already pretty good on a leash and we’ve not heard her bark!

Kiki - Adopted! Kiki is off on his new solo adventure in life. Although he and Luna have been together all their lives, our main focus is placing them in exceptional forever-homes as quickly as possible. These guys were ignored and neglected entirely their whole lives. It's time for them to be spoiled and treated to all the great things life has to offer and that is exactly what we found for Kiki. Luna is next, but in the meantime, she is being lavished with love, attention, great nutrition, and fun adventures with her wonderful foster moms. We are so happy for Kiki!"

Cinnamon - Adopted! Mission accomplished! We found her broken and in excruciating pain. She had stones in her bladder the size of a golf ball and she’s only 6 pounds. We did the surgery to remove them and managed her recovery and the miracle continued when her new mom came to meet her! Now they are off together on their journey as a duo. Nothing makes us happier, especially for precious little Cinnamon! * * * After being picked up by Animal Control as a stray in Farmersville, Cinnamon made her way to us, and we're ready to find her forever home. We think she’s around eight years old and seems to have been relatively well cared for, although she definitely spent some time on the streets and absolutely needs love. She kinda looks like a little red coyote with long lean legs and a puffy little coat. Cinnamon was spayed by someone at some point before coming to us. She’s housebroken and has so much love to give! At only 6 pounds, she can travel with her people. She gets along well with other dogs and seems to enjoy getting a bath! We love Cinnamon so much and you will too!

Banshee - Adopted! Banshee was with us for 6 months! She has been a surrogate mother to so many litters of puppies, a best friend to many of the permanent trooper residents, and a joy for the humans. We sure will miss her but she deserves her very own home. She will be their primary focus, they will love her and she will finally have a real family. We’re so happy for you Banshee! * * * Little Miss Misunderstood had good reason to fear the world. She was suffering terribly with 4 foxtails in one ear, which, judging by the infection had been there, painfully, for quite some time, . Dropped at the Martinez shelter, Banshee was beyond terrified and kinda tried to kill the lovely shelter staff. But we saw some potential, and after just 12 hours at Little Trooper Ranch, she was jumping on laps and gifting everyone with kisses (along with some stinky ear infection goop - yuck). We quickly got her to the vet where they removed the foxtails and treated the infection. Now, this playful 6-pound young girl is as happy as can be. She loves all humans and all dogs as far as we can tell. She’s a young adult and she’s looking for love! Banshee promises always to give more love than she receives, like all perfect little dogs.

Lemming - Adopted! Here’s a little more happy news for the world. Today an adorable little (human) boy will come home from football practice to a new puppy! He’s been here twice with his parents but he doesn’t know that his mom took Lemming home today. We love this home for Lemming, we can’t wait for updates and we love it when rescue happens this way. Rescue dogs are perfect in every way. They are pure love and they all deserve homes like this. * * * This precious little four pound nugget has got the coolest look and the most chill personality. Lemming and his fuzzy littermates are around 3 months old and they’re all around 4 pounds. They have the coolest hair, it’s kinda thick and curly in spots and their tails have twisted hair all the way to the end, like a spiral. They’re absolutely gorgeous puppies so their parents were likely stunning but we don’t know anything about them. We joke that they may be toy Rottweilers (it’s not a thing) because that’s the best way to describe them! They’re entering the real puppy stage filled with teeth and scratches but they’re worth the blood! .

Hercules - Adopted! Herc has a home!!! He will be the center of the universe in his new life. Hercules was found alone on the streets at just 3 pounds. He will never have to struggle to stay warm, he will always have food, he will always be loved and best of all, his new home is forever. We love you Hercules! * * * He lives up to his name. Hercules is 3.5 pounds of power, fury and love. It takes him a minute to trust new people but he’s 3.5 pounds; everyone and everything is a giant. Can you imagine being so small? His attitude compensates for his size and he’s only around 3 years old so he can be your best friend for many many years! Hercules is underweight, so we’re making sure he gets lots of great food and we’re teaching him that there are gentle giants who will keep him safe and warm. His favorite spot is a furry electric blanket and his favorite food is Fresh Pet. We removed some rotting teeth and neutered him so he is ready to go!
