Giselle - Adopted!

Giselle is the luckiest girl in the world! She’s off to live her life on another farm with the most loving people! From starvation on the streets of Bakersfield to a gorgeous rescue farm in the redwood forests of Northern California. A fairytale ending for a deserving girl.

Giselle is a wonder dog. She almost died for her puppies, and then she even fostered another orphaned baby.  Giselle was found starving in an alley in Bakersfield with 7 puppies to feed. She was so skinny her milk started to dry up but she gave all she had to her puppies. A couple pups didn’t survive in time to get to us, but the others were rescued just in time.

Giselle was so skinny and tired when we met her. Lots of food, water and love enabled her to start producing milk again for her pups. She was so dedicated to them, even when she was clinging to life herself.

Not long after this little wayward family came to LTR, we got a call about a 10 day old puppy found on a road. We took him in; and Giselle nursed him too! His name is Leonardo and he is now thriving, thanks to Giselle.

This sweetheart mama is a little shy at first but we’re working on that. Once she knows you, she’s incredibly affectionate. She’s good with cats and is fully housebroken. We think she’s around 1.5 years and she weighs 11 pounds. She’s a gorgeous soul and don’t even get us started on her ears!
