Bambi - Adopted!

Bambi's story is short and sweet, just like she is!  We're not sure why she ended up in a dead-end shelter, but she did.  Meanwhile, we were up north doing our thing at Little Trooper Ranch.  One of these things was a mission to find a tiny brown female chihuahua for one of our wonderful friends and adopters. She waited patiently for over a year, and then, magically, one day, Bambi came across our desk. We said yes and sent a plane. Not just any plane, in fact.

Our favorite local newscaster, Ken Wayne flew back with Bambi on his lap. She was actually a last-minute addition to a flight he was already doing for another rescue. She was looking out the front window of the plane when they landed at our little Petaluma airport.. She wasn't afraid; she was on the greatest adventure of her life. He also had the other lucky dog in the backseat, looking out the window like he was on a Sunday drive. It was the sweetest scene.

Her new mom met us just moments after we arrived back at the ranch with our teeny little traveler. Bambi pranced into her new car and off she went. Mission accomplished.
